Q: Watching Travon Woodall for only a few minutes this year, he appeared to be the fastest kid on the court. He seemed to be shifty and quick. Is this true from what you've seen of him? Do you think he'll get a lot of competition from Isiah Epps right out of the gate?

Russ, State College

FITTIPALDO: Epps is a recruit who is only a junior in high school, so by the time he gets to Pitt Woodall will have two years under his belt in Pitt's system. That should count for something, but yes, Epps will push him. Epps is rated as one of the top point guards in his class and you don't recruit those types of players to sit on the bench.

Woodall has some fine athletic ability, but he fell behind Pitt's other freshmen because some injuries forced him to miss practice. Once he is able to practice with the team on a regular basis I would expect Woodall to become more comfortable. Dixon said it is a possibility that Woodall will redshirt this season because of the all of the practice time he has missed.
